What if you could take a game out of your Sony game console and play it on your PC? Then go to a friend's house and play it on their Microsoft console? How could this even be possible? How would this affect video game companies? How would it affect consumers?

I've got a bit of a half-baked scheme for the technical side of things, and I think that I've got a bit of a handle on the economic impact of such a drastic change, but I have no misconception of omniscience in this regard. Therefore I will be writing down all of the details I have thus far come up with in hopes that others may be able to refine the concept into something feasible. So I decided that I would build a new set.

If you've seen my old site, then you may recall a picture of the setup I had with my shelves.

I had essentially set up a desk for myself within a set of shelves from Ikea. And if you recall, what I had in the studio prior to today's makeover, was simply the middle set of shelves from the picture above.

I've been thinking for about a week that I needed more shelf space. I had pretty much used up all the room I had and my desk was already collecting clutter that was never intended to end up there. I originally pulled out the corner unit to replace the shelves I had, but realized that I could future-proof this design by adding another set of shelves. Here's what I've come up with:

I've got a lot more shelf space, though my window is completely blocked now. There's still some setting up/cleaning up to be done before I'm done, but overall I am very pleased with the result. I have much more workspace on my desk now that I've moved all of my PC equipment to the shelves, and I actually have much easier access to books I use often as well as my other goodies. Bonus!

Forever Learning

I've been modeling and animating for several years now, but with the current project I am working on, I have learned quite a bit about myself.
